We have now completed the campaigning with the Youth Council. 8 young people were elected and will run as the youth councillors for the next year. They shall influence and help decisions around young people, then campaign with their chosen subject of interest whether it be crime, education or healthy living.
Moo Moo are supporting Changemakers to deliver their leadership programme for their young people this February Half term.
We have ran workshops in Birmingham and Newcastle that focuses on market research and innovative ways to promote an event or campaign.
We shall be looking forward to seeing their campaigns soon.
Moo Moo Youth Marketing has been working alongside the West Midlands Police to put together a female vulnerability campaign. Over two nights and two nightclubs, our outreach teams engaged with thousands of females telling them to "stay safe, stay together" and giving out handcuffs. For the second year running, it shown to be a massive success!
Moo Moo Youth Marketing is now an approved ASDAN centre that can offer a range of qualifications and accreditations to develop key skills and life skills to young people. Qualifications include: ALAN - Adult literacy and Numeracy (equivalent to a GCSE) as well as leadership, enterprise and football. As a company that offers courses for the public, it would be unfair to not offer them to our teams of moobies..
Currently, there are:
10 Moobies studying Children & Young People's Workforce Level 3 NVQ,
2 Moobies studying Team Leading Level 2 NVQ,
4 that have completed Management Level 3 NVQ,
and 2 Moobies studying it.
Spurgeons are looking to develop a project with MMYM to work with young people (YP) who have been or are particularly vulnerable to sexual exploitation (SE) in Birmingham. The project will have several elements to it including 1:1 support and training for professionals working with YP. The project will also work directly with YP in youth settings to raise awareness on the issue of SE and draw attention to Spurgeons support services.
